📰 The Topic
Today, just a simple post of “commisery” - or the act of knowing that we can all commiserate in our collective misery.
A friend shared this article yesterday and immediately I found myself nodding my head as I read it: That Discomfort You’re Feeling is Grief.
One of the hardest parts of the past months has been that as parents we simply just don’t have the time to process all these feelings we’re feeling. I know for me, there’s a numbness where I’m just trying to focus on getting from one thing to the next - a never-ending chain of logistics and childcare and work tasks and home chores. Then collapsing into bed, just to wake up and do it all again, Groundhogs Day style.
So a reminder, that we’re all feeling it. And we all need to find our way back to our joy, in our own ways.
